Cryptocurrencies are the latest generation currencies. They are digital or virtual currencies designed to work as a medium of exchange and use cryptography for security. Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency to capture public attention launched in 2009 and since then, it has boomied on the global market. At the start of the year, the total value of Bitcoin was only $15 billion but it is now close to $100 million, bigger than U.S. investment bank Morgan Stanley. Bitcoin has been on a rollercoaster ride this year as it reached extreme limits and there was no stopping, it kept crawling its way higher on the cryptocurrency market.
